Algene is a true leader in empowering women both within an organization and externally. We worked together on the 2X Steering Committee, and Algene was always open to receiving ideas and feedback from the group to advance the agency’s goals in the 2X space. She created key positions and processes that will have a lasting impact on the agency’s investment strategy to advance women’s economic empowerment. She does not shy away from pushing traditional boundaries to make room for other women at the table and to amplify positive economic impacts for women.
